North Island hīkoi – plan ahead and expect delays
The North Island hīkoi (march) will arrive in Wellington city on Tuesday morning. It is expected to cause delays on the state highway network and local roads, including around the Bluebridge Wellington terminal.
Final check-in closes 1 hour prior to departure. To ensure you reach us in time, we strongly advise planning your journeys accordingly and allowing extra travel time.

State Highway 6 Rai Saddle Resilience Works - Monday 14 Oct – Friday 22 Nov
From Monday 14 October to Friday 22 November, State Highway 6 (SH6), will be down to one lane managed by stop/go traffic lights between 8am to 5pm. Please expect delays of up to 30 minutes during work hours and beware of the multiple worksites in place between Blenheim and Nelson during this time.

State Highway 6 Canvastown - Monday 11 Nov - Friday 6 Dec
From Monday 11 November to Friday 6 December, State Highway 6 (SH6) Canvastown will have construction during 8am and 5pm on weekdays. Please plan ahead for delays of up to 10 minutes. 30km speed limit managed by stop/go traffic lights.

Please plan ahead and allow plenty of time to get to your Bluebridge ferry before your final check-in time. Keep in mind that roadworks are happening across the country which may add time to your journey.
